Cafe Regatta, Helsinki

After I had returned a borrowed utility tool, I rushed back home for a late breakfast. But the sun was already up and shining, and my route took me past one of my favorite spots on the Helsinki shoreline. I just spun my car around at the next street corner and paid a visit.

Cafe Regatta may strike you as something that feels overly puny in an intended way. Get on board and you will soon enjoy its unique collection of good vibes, grandma's attic decor, with a great sea view. It's set in the tiny red cottage and spreads outside as a terrace with open fire. Free coffee refill is the deal here, plus a bit extra!

The fireplace played Tapio Rautavaara's man and guitar stuff at the time. When I approached the cabin's door, someone inside, behind the counter spotted me and pulled a string to open the door for me.
